Rural Health Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand
RHAANZ is a membership organisation that depends on a number of key people contributing to it’s operation, including the preparation of Council and Executive meeting papers.
Marie admits herself to not being particularly organised, and of course suffers from the same ailment as many others in a similar position…being time poor! So the preparation of meeting documents used to be a task that she dreaded…but since the Rural Health Alliance Aotearoa began using BoardPro, the whole task has become simpler, and quicker to do – and with a fantastically professional look to it!
BoardPro allows others to contribute to meeting papers while ensuring consistency across meetings and team members. Meeting agendas, minutes and follow up actions are all easily recorded with great calendar reminders when the deadline is about to fall! ‘BoardPro does all that for us without any need for juggling contributing documents particularly when there are last minute changes to the agenda or a supporting paper, and chasing up people to complete the actions they agreed to in a meeting! It’s an easy to use tool, that makes me look good!”
Marie was appointed to the role of RHAANZ Executive Director in November 2018 and is now overseeing the secretariat support services for RHAANZ through her role at the NZ Rural General Practice Network. Marie’s varied career that spans rural chartered accounting, sheep and beef farming, lecturing in business studies, planning & funding in DHB and senior management roles across health and social services provides the basis for her work with RHAANZ.
The Rural Health Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand represents a united voice from across multiple rural sector organisations. Our aim is to provide solutions and influence policy affecting the health and wellbeing of rural communities. Ultimately we aim to be the rural health policy and strategic experts.
